Liz Parkhurst By Michele Badal At age 15, I started on a road of partying.
Teen Challenge Northern California / Nevada - I came from a strict home. At age 15, I started on a road of partying. I married a very abusive husband who did drugs daily and made me feel worthless. After 10 years, I left with four children and went back into another useless relationship that introduced me to methamphetamines. I left and was drug free for 1 and 1/2 years but was lonely, depressed and missing something in my life. I returned to that useless relationship, and this time I lost my kids to child protective services and almost lost my life. CPS told me that I would never get my kids back. I could not write, call or talk to them because I was a drug addict. My family didn't even want me around. Since coming into Teen Challenge, God has drastically changed my life. I graduated the program in March 2001. I am presently serving as staff working in the administration office. I live at the family center with my daughter and son, Andrea and Albert. God has restored my relationship with my family and has given me a second chance at life. |
